So it begins...

Let the sibling rivalery begin.

Moya at first loved the idea of being a big sister then tonight it all came crashing down.
"You won't play with me when the baby comes." "You won't love me." "I don't like babies" and so on and so forth. We all piled into bed together and tried to reasure her that this is a good thing and the baby will be lots of work but she will be no less loved but will infact enjoy and love being a big sister. I don't think she's buying!

Get the book "Siblings Without Rivalry." No one wants to hear that since you love them so much, you have in fact gone ahead and gotten another model of the same thing (a baby). Moya is a smart cookie, she's going to take lots of convincing and may still hate the baby for a while despite your best efforts. At least she's being honest ...

Hopefully once the idea of having a sibling isn't so new, she'll start to see how much fun being a big sister will be and how much she'll be able to teach the baby. Plus, you can remind her that she'll always get to do everything first because she's older!

Good luck with the sibling rivalry problem. She'll love the new little baby when it gets here. Look how good she was with Alex when he was first born. She thought he was the greatest thing...Or maybe she thought he was like a cat because she kept trying to make him play with the cat toys..LMAO... I miss you guys!

At least it's your daughter and not your husband making those comments. :)
